Dallas Couple Survives Small Plane Crash

Texas pair injured in small plane crash near Taos

New Mexico state police say two people from Texas were injured when their small plane crashed near Taos.

The single-engine plane went down in mountains west of the city around 10 a.m. MDT Saturday.

Police say the aircraft's two occupants -- 57-year-old James Thompson and 42-year-old Angela Thompson of Dallas -- were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The two have a summer home in the area.

The airplane departed a Taos airport and was flying over trail heads when it went down.

Police say the Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the cause of the crash, which left the plane with heavy damage.
