In-person jail visitation has been suspended and will not resume until further notice out of coronavirus safety precautions.
The Dallas Sheriff Office will offer video visitation free of charge.
Legal counsel in-person visitation is still allowed.
Officials said they have implemented enhanced intake procedures in terms of screening inmates and equipping employees with information.
