Dallas Students Parade Around Paris

Whirlwind trip for Dallas International School 5th graders

While most students got ready to head back to class this morning, several 5th graders from Dallas are getting ready to pound the pavement in Paris.

They are taking part in a student exchange program. They left from DFW airport on March 19 and were welcomed to Paris by 5th graders from France

This academic and cultural trip is designed to reinforce classroom studies and their French speaking language skills.  The Dallas International School is the only immersion pre-school through 12th grade school in North Texas, where students intensely study English, Spanish, French and Mandarin Chinese.

Already, students have toured the Louvre and Versailles.

They are also bringing a gift from Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert to the Mayor of the 16th region of Paris.

The students will host exchange students who arrive in DFW in late May.
