CLEBURNE POLICE REPORT BODY FOUND NEAR CREEK
Cleburne police found the decomposing remains of a woman near Buffalo Creek Friday night. The body is believed to be that of 67 year old Virginia Burns, who was last seen in the early morning hours of October 9. The body was found in a wooded area approximately five blocks north of the location where Ms. Burns was last seen. The medical examiner will determine the identity and cause of death.
RETIRED DPS TROOPER UNDER INVESTIGATION
A DPS trooper retired just as the agency launched an excessive force investigation against him. Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw said Trooper Arturo Perez exercised his legal option to retire at the time of the investigation. Investigators are looking into an incident on October 10 on the Dallas North Tollway that was captured on the trooper's dashboard camera. McCraw ordered an immediate criminal investigation by the Texas Rangers and their findings will be turned over to the Dallas County District Attorney's office for consideration.
MAN ARRESTED AFTER FRISCO TEEN DIES FROM CHEESE HEROIN OVERDOSE
Jaime Navarro was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of a Frisco teenager, police said. Dillon Young, 16, died early Thursday from an apparent drug overdose according to an arrest affidavit. Police said Young and two of his friends went to Navarro's house to buy cheese heroin and Xanax. The affidavit said Young and his friends had been smoking marijuana, doing cheese and Xanax during the day Wednesday. Police charged Navarro with selling cheese heroin to the teenager.
CENTRAL AMERICAN GANG MEMBER CAPTURED IN IRVING: POLICE
A suspected illegal immigrant believed to a member of the notorious Central American gang MS-13 was arrested after a lengthy standoff Thursday with police and U.S. marshals, the Star Telegram reported. Irving police said Juan Manjivar, 36, barricaded himself in a second floor room of a home in the 2200 block of Chandelle Drive after U.S. Marshalls attempted to arrest him. Police said he has an extensive criminal history, which includes assault on police and weapons offenses. Manjivar was being held Friday at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center on warrants from California for parole violations and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the paper reported.

REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS TO ATTEND FORCED HALLOWEEN GATHERING
Registered sex offenders in three counties will be required to attend a special Halloween gathering Saturday night in Weatherford, KRLD.com reported. The move is an effort to keep them out of reach of trick-or-treaters from 6:30 until 10 p.m., according to the Parker County Supervision Office. About 70 individuals were expected to attend and anyone who skips out can count on a visit from a sheriff's deputy, KRLD reported.
DPD ONCE AGAIN THE VICTIM OF THEFT
The Dallas police are once again looking for thousands of dollars in stolen equipment after an unmarked SWAT vehicle was broken into on Thursday. Police said the thief broke into the car when it was parked on the 2700 block of Fitzhugh and made off with weapons, ammunition, police uniforms, badges and body armor. DRUNKEN DRIVER CRASHES INTO COP'S CAR
A drunken driver was injured Friday after he crashed into a police cruiser on Interstate 30 near Meacham Airport, KRLD reported. The officer was on the scene of an earlier wreck along with a fire truck that was parked to protect the scene. The driver missed the fire truck and slammed into the police car. The officer was not inside his vehicle when it was hit.
