TWO OK AFTER HARD LANDING
Two people walked away from a hard landing in Johnson County Wednesday.  The pilot of the Cessna 171 set the aircraft down in a field near County Road 506, two miles west of state Highway 157 near the Ellis County line.  Neither the pilot or the passenger were injured.

FORNEY ANTIQUE STORE COLLAPSED, DESTROYED
Philbeck’s Antiques located at 206 East Highway 80 in Forney collapsed Wednesday morning after police discovered heavy smoke coming from the building at around 3:12 a.m. Terrell, Sunnyvale, Mesquite, Kaufman, and Heath Fire Department’s all responded to the blaze. HAZMAT TEAM CALLED FOR DIESEL LEAK ON HIGHWAY
Dallas police received two calls early Wednesday about a FedEx truck that was leaking diesel on I-45 near MLK. The truck struck some debris on the roadway causing it’s fuel line to be cut and diesel to spill on the freeway. The driver finally realized the truck was spilling fuel and stopped on the ramp from Stemmons to Oak Lawn. Dallas Fire Rescue HAZMAT team responded to the scene and the FedEx driver called a private HAZMAT team to remove the truck from the ramp.

TWO-ALARM FIRE IN DALLAS QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED
Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a large one-story warehouse with heavy fire and smoke showing in the 8400 block of South Central Expressway Tuesday night. Firefighters had the blaze knocked down and under control in about 30 minutes. Most of the roof was burned off and the building gutted. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

AUTHORITIES DISCOVER BODY IN ABANDONED VEHICLE
A body was found in the trunk of an abandoned car in Collin County Monday, Melissa Police Chief Duane Smith said. The license plates of the abandoned vehicle matched the license plates from a missing-person report filed in Lewisville on July 23, The Dallas Morning News reports. Melissa police and the Collin County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the death.
