MURDER SUSPECT HELD IN DALLAS CONFESSES TO 'PERFECT CRIME'
Minneapolis police say a man called them this week to confess to killing his girlfriend in October and staging her suicide. John M. King, 50, is charged with second-degree murder. He called police from Texas and turned himself in to authorities in Dallas.  Minneapolis police say King told them he and 51-year-old Pam Sjogren got into a fight, and she poked him in the eye. POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH OF SHERLOCK HOLMES
Detectives are investigating the death of Sherlock Holmes, a Plano man found inside a house in the 1100 block of Avenue I.  A friend who became concerned after not hearing from Holmes in days went to check on him Wednesday night and called police after arriving at the house. Police said the 68-year-old man had signs of blunt force trauma to the head. Click here to read this story from on NBCDFW.com.

PIZZA DELIVERY DRIVER SHOT, ROBBED
A pizza delivery driver was shot and robbed Thursday night as he made a delivery to a house in the 600 block of Essex in Fort Worth. Investigators said the gunman was sitting in a chair on the porch waiting the deliveryman. The man fled into the neighborhood on foot after the robbery. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening.

19-YEAR-OLD ACCUSED OF FATALLY SHOOTING FW MAN IN PICKUP
A 19-year-old woman has been accused in the Jan. 12 fatal shooting of a 74-year-old man inside his pickup, the Dallas Morning News reports. Amy Jessica Jimenez was arrested Tuesday and charged with capital murder in the death of Abboud Greig, authorities said. She was being held at the Mansfield jail in lieu of $750,000 bond.  Click here to read this story on the Dallas Morning News.

YOUTUBE TO SOLVE 8-LINER ROBBERY?
Tarrant County Sheriff's Department hopes YouTube can help detectives solve an armed robbery at an 8-liner game room. It happened last Thursday at the Fast Track in the 8100 block of Mansfield Hwy in southeast Tarrant County.  The video shows the suspect waiting at a locked door for about two minutes before the manager lets him in to the business.  Click here to watch the videos on NBCDFW.com.

EX-TEXAS SHERIFF PLEADS GUILTY IN SEX ASSAULT CASE
A former North Texas sheriff has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman after telling her sex was the only way to avoid going to jail for drug possession. Former Montague County Sheriff Bill Keating entered his plea Thursday in a Wichita Falls federal court. He'll be sentenced in May and faces up to 10 years in prison. DEFENDANT IN QUADRUPLE MCKINNEY MURDER TAKES THE STAND
After two weeks of testimony, Collin County prosecutors have rested their case against Raul Cortez, one of two defendants charged in the 2004 shooting deaths of four people at a McKinney home, the Dallas Morning News reports. Cortez, on trial for his life, is accused of fatally shooting Rosa Barbosa, 46; her nephew Mark Barbosa, 25; and his friends Austin York, 18, and Matthew Self, 17.  He took the stand in his own defense this morning.  Click here to read this story from the Dallas Morning News
