COURT HEARING FOR SUSPECTED COP KILLER
Legal teams were in court for a hearing involving the case of Charles Payne. He is accused in the fatal shooting of Dallas Police Senior Corporal Norman Smith. Payne is accused of shooting and killing Sr. Cpl. Smith, January 7th at the Oakwood Place apartments in south Dallas. The grand jury has not reviewed the case against Payne.
CHARGES AGAINST ARLINGTON FATHER COULD BE UPGRADED TO MURDER
Arlington police say the Tarrant County District Attorney will decide if charges against Michael Victoria should be changed to capital murder. Police arrested Victoria earlier this month, charging him with injury to a child. 3-month-old Trinity Victoria died Saturday. Investigators will wait to determine if she died from injuries related to her father's arrest.
