JURY FINDS TEEN GUILTY IN KATY TRAIL ATTACK
A jury found a teenager accused of attacking a woman on the Katy Trail guilty of aggravated robbery Wednesday. Jose Torres, 18, initially admitted to the 2007 attack, then changed his plea to not guilty. Elizabeth Prezio suffered a broken collarbone and pelvis in the attack. She said Torres attacked her to steal her iPod and cellphone.

CHARRED CLOTHES OF SLAIN UNT STUDENT SHOWN TO JURORS DURING TRIAL
As testimony continued today in the capital murder trial of Ernesto Reyes, the jury saw the clothes of the University of North Texas sophomore he is accused of raping, strangling and then setting on fire, the Dallas Morning News reports. Carrollton police Officer Craig Allen pulled from a white bag the charred clothes of Melanie Goodwin. The denim skirt and Red Bull shirt she wore at the time of her death, according to surveillance video from a Denton convenience store, were barely recognizable. DEPUTIES ARREST MAN SUSPECTED IN TRAILER THEFTS
An anonymous tip has led Collin County sheriff's deputies to an arrest in a series of trailer thefts in the town of Princeton. David Wayne Raper, 44, of The Colony, is now charged with three counts of theft. He has since been moved to the Palo Pinto jail on a separate drug warrant.

POLICE FIND 3 CHILDREN HOME ALONE IN DALLAS APARTMENT AFTER NEIGHBOR REPORTS CRYING
Officers found three children, ages 4, 3 and 1, abandoned in a Far East Dallas apartment early this morning after a neighbor reported incessant crying for more than an hour, the Dallas Morning News reports.  Police responded to an apartment in the 9300 block of Beck Avenue, near Loop 12 and Ferguson Road, at about 2:30 a.m., said Dallas police Officer Clay Woods.
