EX-UTAH TROOPER CONNECTED TO RUSH HOUR SHOOTINGS
Dallas police said Tuesday early tests connect a former former Utah trooper to Monday's series of rush-hour shootings in Garland and Dallas. Brian Smith, 37, is in critical condition in a Dallas hospital after shooting himself in a standoff with Garland police. Smith had been sought by Keller police on robbery and burglary warrants from Southlake. ROBBERS STEAL MONEY, SEX TOYS FROM STORE
Put these two robbers on your naughty list, Santa. Two men held up a Fort Worth retailer early Sunday, taking cash and toys — but not the kind meant for children, The Star-Telegram Reports. The robbery occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday at the Romance Store, an adult entertainment shop at 780 N. Beach St. An employee told police that the two robbers, one packing a pistol, ordered him to stay calm and do as he was told. Click here to read this story from the Star-Telegram.
MAN ACCUSED OF DWI WITH CHILD IN VEHICLE
A man accused of driving while intoxicated had his 4-year-old daughter inside the vehicle with him, Grapevine police said. Grapevine police said they arrested Delfino Morales Sunday after an off-duty officer reported seeing him driving a 2005 Dodge pickup in a manner that indicated he was intoxicated or impaired. WOMAN ATTACKS TWO MEN DURING COWBOYS GAME, POLICE SAY
A woman allegedly attacked two men while watching the final Cowboys at a home in the 400 block of Foxwood Circle on Saturday, the Denton Record Chronicle reports. MAN SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS IN KILLING OF SAILOR
A second man involved in the 2006 murder of a sailor was sentenced to prison. U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Kameron Pratt was on leave from Iraq when he was robbed and killed in front of his parents' Dallas home. Michael Walton received 30 years in prison after entering a guilty plea. In March, Itar Kissentaner pleaded guilty to capital murder and was sentenced to 50 years. (NBC DFW)
