DPD OFFICER CHARGED WITH DWI AFTER HIT-AND-RUN
A Dallas police officer was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Wednesday after he allegedly fled the scene of an crash, Plano police said. Senior Cpl. David Aguilar was involved in a wreck at Custer Road and Plano Parkway at about 1 a.m., police said. Dallas police have placed Aguilar on administrative leave. Read more on NBCDFW.com.

WOMAN ACCUSED OF STRIKING KID IN WHEELCHAIR AT HOSPITAL
Authorities said a 23-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday night after a scuffle with a wheelchair-using 13-year-old boy at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Mikka Shardai Cline, of Waco, was charged with injury to a child in connection with the struggle over a soccer ball. The boy had a pre-surgical medical halo screwed into his skull. POLICE SEARCHING FOR MISSING FORT WORTH MAN
Fort Worth police are looking for a 64-year-old man who has not been seen since last month. Rigoberto Portocarrero did not return after his home on South Jennings Street on July 31 to go to a nearby convenience store on Hemphill Street, police said. Investigators said he may have gotten into a vehicle with three men at the Sinaloa Bar on Hemphill Street. Police described Portocarrero as Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 100 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 817-392-4430.
