JURY CONVICTS TEEN OF ATTEMPTED CAPITAL MURDER
A Collin County jury has convicted a Frisco teen obsessed with serial killing of attempted capital murder and deadly conduct for trying to slay two people in 2006. Edward Mike Ji, 19, was convicted Thursday of shooting then 14-year-old Bryan Chevalier when he answered the door of his Frisco home. Chevalier survived. Click here to read this story on NBCDFW.com.

POLICE SEEK JUVENILE SUSPECT IN TRIPLE SHOOTING
Police are asking for the public's help in finding a 16-year-old boy accused of fatally shooting one man and injuring two others. Eric Leyuas-Mason was allegedly involved in the shooting of the three victims at about 11:30 p.m. on March 26 in the 2100 block of Custer Drive in Dallas, police said. TEACHER ACCUSED OF IMPROPER RELATIONSHIP WITH STUDENT
A 28-year-old teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas was arrested Wednesday and charged with having an improper relationship with a student, police said.  Joseph Solis has worked for the district since 2006.  He was booked into the Dallas County Jail with bond set at $5,000.

WOMAN ACCUSED OF USING SON TO STEAL
A woman is accused of using her son to help her steal wallets from Lewisville shoppers, police said.  Bonnie Markem, 29, is locked up at a jail in Oklahoma. Lewisville police said surveillance video from a Target store shows her distracting store patrons while a child helps her take the victims' purses from shopping carts.  Police recently identified the boy as Markem's son.  He is now living with relatives.

BRIDGEPORT OFFICER DIES IN WRECK WITH PURSUED VEHICLE
Bridgeport officials said an officer died in the line of duty when a vehicle fleeing Wise County sheriff's deputies struck his patrol car on Thursday afternoon. Steven York, of Wise County, rammed the rear of Sgt. Randy White's cruiser at Farm Road 2123 and Texas Highway 114 shortly at about 3:16 p.m., the city said. White was pronounced dead at the crash scene. York was injured and was airlifted to a hospital. Click here to read this story on NBCDFW.com.

MAN WHO KEYED HUMMERS GETS PROBATION
A Southlake man who damaged Hummers parked at stores and a high school was sentenced to five years probation on Thursday. James Jeppe admitted to scratching up several of the pricey vehicles. He said he was frustrated from dealing with a mentally ill son, a diabetic wife and the stock market. School surveillance cameras captured Jeppe leaving the Carroll Senior High School parking lot in a BMW.

PLANO WHEEL THIEVES MAKE BIG PROBLEMS FOR GM OWNERS
Plano police said GM models are the focus of a rash of custom-wheel thefts. Most of the vehicles are GM SUVs such as Escalades, Denalis, Yukons and Silverados, Officer Rick McDonald said. Plano has had 20 such thefts since of the start of the year, and 18 involved custom wheels. The thieves leave the vehicles propped up on cinder blocks or landscaping rocks.
