GARLAND SCHOOLS BOOKKEEPER GETS PRISON FOR THEFT

POLICE ARREST MAN ACCUSED OF FATALLY SHOOTING FATHER-IN-LAW
Dallas police arrested a man Monday accused of fatally stabbing his father-in-law.  The stabbing happened after Joel Catalan and his wife got in a fight and he followed her to her father's house in the 1200 block of Templecliff, authorities said.  That is where he got into an altercation with Javier Vergara and fatally shot him in the neck, police said.  Police said Catalan fled, but was later caught at a rest stop in Leon County at about 8:45 a.m. (NBC DFW)

IRVING MAN ARRESTED IN SISTER'S FATAL STABBING
A brother of a woman who was found dead Friday evening was in custody Monday on suspicion that he fatally stabbed her after the two got into a violent confrontation, police said. (Star-Telegram)

REWARD OFFERED FOR 'BAND-AID BANDIT' WANTED IN MESQUITE BANK ROBBERY
The FBI announced $12,000 in rewards today for information leading to a bank robber dubbed the “Band-Aid bandit,” who shot two Compass Bank employees during an Oct. 31 hold-up. (Dallas Morning News)

POLICE INVESTIGATE 2 ROBBERIES IN FORT WORTH
Two men in hooded sweatshirts on Sunday robbed the Quik Sak convenience store, 4600 Diaz Ave. in west Fort Worth, police said. (Star-Telegram)
