POLICE: SACHSE MAN KILLS SON THEN HIMSELF
Garland Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a jogger found the bodies of a man and his 11-year-old son by a creek at One Eleven Ranch. Police have identified the two as 37-year-old Matthew Knapp and his son Brody. Both had been shot. Police say they found a pistol near Matthew Knapp's body. MAN STABS WIFE, THEN TOSSES HER FROM WINDOW
Denton police are searching for a man accused of stabbing his estranged wife and her male friend inside an apartment Thursday in the 400 block of N. Loop 288.  Police said Silvano Uriostogui may have broken into the apartment.  Uriostogui stabbed his wife's friend several times before the man was able to jump out the second floor window, police said. After Uriostogui stabbed his wife, he threw her out the apartment window, police said. Police said the victims' injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

TEEN ACCUSED OF ABUSE STARTS MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND IN JAIL
An 18-year-old Springtown mother is starting her Mother's Day weekend off in jail. Deputies arrested Nichole Dawn Marlar and charged her with two counts of injury to a child with serious bodily injury. Child Protective Services contacted the Parker County Sheriff’s Office on April 29 after Marlar's 18-month-old son was brought in to the Cook Children’s Medical Center emergency room. FEDS ARREST 27 IN ALLEGED IMMIGRANT SMUGGLING RING 
Federal prosecutors in Sherman say almost 30 people, including some Dallas residents, have been arrested on charges of smuggling undocumented immigrants into Texas. Authorities also seized $40,000 to $50,000, firearms and 13 vehicles during the Wednesday raid. Click here to read this story on NBCDFW.com.
