HOMELESS MAN SET TO DIE FOR KILLING HELPFUL WOMAN
Texas is set to execute another death row inmate tomorrow, the second one this week and the fifth this month. Gregory Wright faces lethal injection Thurday, two days before his 43rd birthday. WATAUGA HOME INVASION
Police are investigating an apparent home invasion robbery attempt in the 6000 block of Sundown Dr. in Watauga. The homeowner told police he heard someone breaking into his trailer parked in the driveway and came outside armed with a shotgun. The robber attacked the homeowner with a knife, and stabbed a neighbor who came out to help, before fleeing into the neighborhood police said. CareFlite took the homeowner to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition. The neighbor also went to the hospital for treatment. Police said they donβt have a good description of the robber.
WOMAN FOUND IN CEDAR HILL STREET WAS MURDERED
Cedar Hill police say a woman found dead in the middle of the street was murdered. The woman, who appeared to be in her 60s, was found lying in the 600 block of Lemons St. Tuesday morning, police said. Cedar Hill Police Chief Steve Rhodes said the incident is being investigated as a homicide where robbery may have been the motive. The Dallas County Medical Examiner is working to identify the victim.
