'STRANDED MAN' ATTACKS WOMAN
A man knocked on 87-year-old Dorothy Reed's door at 4 a.m. Sunday asking to use the phone and claiming he was out of gas with two kids in his car. After asking to use the bathroom as well, Reed became suspicious and found the suspect rifling through her purse. The man stole jewelry, IDs, Credit Cards, and the victim's cellphone before knocking her down, injuring Reed. (Read more at the Dallas Morning News)

9 YEARS FOR CANTON WOMAN'S PYRAMID SCHEME
Cynthia Setser is going to jail for nine years for her role in a multimillion-dollar pyramid scheme that swindled the likes of televangelist Benny Hinn and hundreds of Christian investors in Texas. Her sentence was upped from five to nine years after she skipped out on previous sentencing hearings. She'll also have to pay $61 million in restitution for her part in the scheme, which was lead by her husband Gregory Setser. (Read more at the Dallas Morning News)

OFFICER ATTACKED WITH SHOE
An off-duty Dallas officer was attacked with a shoe this weekend while working outside Club Che in northwest Dallas. The shoe-wielding attacker was kicked out of the club earlier, and when police tried to get her to move on, she grabbed her shoe and hit the officer with it's heel. FIRED OFFICER BACK ON THE FORCE
A Fort Worth officer fired after his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving is back on the police force -- after being acquitted last month of DWI.The indefinite suspension of Guillermo "Bill" Hernandez was reduced to a 60-day suspension in an agreement with former Interim Police Chief Patricia Kneblick. Hernandez returned to work as a full-duty officer on Dec. 8. (Read more at the Star-Telegram)

MAN ROBS DUNCANVILLE BANK
Duncanville police said a man robbed a Bank of America on Tuesday morning. Police said the man demanded money from a teller at the bank at 220 S. Cedar Ridge Road at about 9:15 a.m. The man fled on foot, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 972-780-5037. (NBC DFW)

SUSPECTED BANK ROBBER FATALLY SHOT DURING STANDOFF
A suspected bank robber was fatally shot Tuesday after he exchanged gunfire with a security guard during a standoff inside a Chase Bank in Dallas, police said. Initial reports indicated that the injured guard managed to alert police to the robbery by calling 911 on his cell phone. (Read more at NBC DFW)

HUMAN REMAINS FOUND IN EULESS
Human remains believed to be of a woman was found Tuesday afternoon in a wooded area in Euless, police said. Investigators said the body appeared to have been there for months or even years. (Read more at NBC DFW)

DALLAS POLICE FIND MAN'S BODY NEAR PARK
Dallas police are investigating a possible homicide after officers found a body in a wooded area near Pecan Grove Park. Investigators said there are no visible signs of trauma to the body. The victim appears to be a man between the age of 19 and 26. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. (NBC DFW)

FRISCO POLICE ARREST 3 IN BANK ROBBIERIES
Frisco police arrested three people in connection with a series of bank robberies. Officers said James Cooper, Nicolas Duning and Athena Sides held up a Compass Bank in November and robbed a Sterling Bank in December. Investigators said they handed the teller in each bank a note demanding money and walked away with the loot.  (NBC DFW)
