Dallas firefighters battled for more than two hours Monday night to put out a fire burning through the Iglesia Bautista El Mesias Baptist Church.
Firefighters were called at about 9:15 p.m. to the 5200 block of Belmont Avenue where thick smoke and flames were erupting from the roof of the building.
Witnesses nearby shot video of the fire as firefighters waged a defensive campaign to suppress the flames.

Dallas Fire-Rescue said Tuesday morning there were no reported injuries and that the church was believed to be vacant with the fire broke out.
The cause of the fire, DFR said, has not yet been determined.
