Crash Involving 2 Vehicles Shuts Down Grand Prairie Highway

A major crash involving a tractor-trailer and a rock hauler shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie on Tuesday.[[298172311,C]]

According to Grand Prairie police, the accident was at I-30 and Belt Line Road, and all traffic was diverted off the highway.

One of the trucks was transporting a prefabricated home. According to Detective Lyle Gensler with Grand Prairie Police Department, the rock hauler was stranded on the side of the highway when it was stuck by the tractor-trailer.

Gensler said the collision scattered debris from the prefab home, including sheet metal, over the freeway.
