A man is in custody after leading police on a chase that ended in a crash in Southlake.
Grapevine police said one of their officers chased a black truck as it reportedly fled from an accident on Ira E. Woods. The driver of the vehicle hit by the truck told police she thought the driver might have been intoxicated.
Officers spotted the truck again at Brumlow and Highway 26. The truck stopped and an officer spoke to the driver and tried to get him to do a field sobriety test. The driver fled on Brumlow and went on to North Carroll, East Southlake Boulevard and North White Chapel.
Police said the truck hit a guardrail at the end of a dead end road.
The driver, identified as Christopher Thome, was taken into custody and charged with DWI. More charges are pending, according to police.
No one was injured in the crash.
