The westbound lanes of Interstate 20 are still shut down due to a crash involving an several vehicles, officials say.
A tanker truck carrying diesel fuel was traveling westbound entering an area of Interstate 20 that was restricted to one lane due to construction, according to Trooper Lonny Haschel with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Officials say the tanker truck driver did not see the slowing traffic ahead and struck a white Dodge pickup.
The pickup then hit a gray Hyundai car that was in front of it.
The tanker truck and trailer continued to slide and struck a semi-trailer box truck. During that impact, the tanker began to roll on its side and hit a third semi-trailer box truck.
The tanker was carrying diesel fuel which leaked onto the roadway.
There are no reports of injuries at this time.
