Another Dallas Cowboys player is facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy, according to a report in The Dallas Morning News.

Defensive End David Irving is the latest player to be sidelined for violating the rules. In Irving's case, reports say he violated the league's performance enhancing drug policy after using an over the counter product he was looking to endorse.

The pending suspension would cause him to miss the first four games of the 2017 season.

Irving is viewed as one of the up and coming players on the Cowboys' defense. He had four sacks and a team-high 26 quarterback pressures last season.

Irving is appealing the suspension.

Neither the NFL nor the Cowboys have commented on the incident.
