Cowboys to Open Preseason Against Rams in Los Angeles

The Cowboys' preseason matchup with the newly re-relocated Rams is set for August 13

The Dallas Cowboys have announced their preseason schedule, and the slate of games is highlighted by an Aug. 13 contest against the once-and-again Los Angeles Rams in their new digs, the L.A. Coliseum, in a game that will be televised on ESPN.

Aside from the obvious NFL-is-back-in-L.A. element, this matchup could also be interesting because the teams practiced against each other in training camp last year, only to cut it short due to multiple fights breaking out.

The matchup with the Rams will be the Cowboys' first preseason game, followed by a home game against the Miami Dolphins. They will travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks for the third exhibition of the preseason, before returning home to host the Houston Texans in the preseason finale. Dates for the games against the Dolphins, Seahawks and Texans have not been released.

The team has gone 8-13 under Jason Garrett in the preseason and in 2014, the only season Garrett has made the playoffs as a head coach to this point, they didn't win a single preseason game.
