Country Music World Shaken By Las Vegas Shooting

Country music fans are mourning those lost and wounded in Sunday's attack at a concert festival in Las Vegas.

Authorities say at least 59 people have died and more than 520 others were injured in the shooting, which occurred as Jason Aldean performed at an outdoor venue.

At Dallas country radio station KHYI "The Range," callers dedicated songs in honor of the victims Monday.

On-air host Brett Dillon says country fans are like family. He says the attack is still hard to fathom.

"It just drops your jaw, and it's like it's got to stop," said Dillon, who has spent 22 of his 43 years in radio at the station. "It's just terrible. It's really gotta stop because it's a really terrible thing."

Dillon said he attends several concerts per week in his job but is not sure if the Las Vegas attack will result in security changes at those shows.
