Police continue to investigate the shooting of a 32-year-old man after three people invaded a South Texas home where officers subsequently found marijuana and a large amount of cash.
The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports the shooting occurred shortly in the early hours of Saturday. Police checking a report of a shooting found the man on the floor just inside the front door with several gunshot wounds.
Officers found the man's 24-year-old wife and two children, ages 11 and 4, hiding in a bathroom.
The newspaper reports that the man was taken to a Corpus Christi hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
No arrests have been made. Police said the suspects were wearing dark clothing and ski hats.
