The Collin County district attorney is asking the Texas Rangers to conduct an independent investigation into the McKinney pool party incident that resulted in the resignation of a McKinney police officer.
DA Greg Willis released a statement Monday, which said he has, "full confidence in the good men and women of the McKinney Police Department and their ability to fully investigate this matter. At the same time, an independent investigation of this incident will add an important layer of transparency to the process."
