Cleburne Student Arrested, Accused of Sexual Assault of a Child

An 18-year-old Cleburne High School student is facing felony charges, accused of aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to a report by the Cleburne Times Review.

Kenneth Lee Jones Jr. was arrested Thursday after police said he was accused of forcing a 13-year-old girl to give him oral sex before pulling down her pants and forcing her to have sex with him near a city park, the paper reported.

Police said in a statement the girl was friends with Jones' sister and that he had been asked to give she and her brothers a ride to their house. The boys were dropped off, but the girl remained in the car. The paper reported police said Jones later parked near the restroom at Don Moore Park and assaulted the girl.

The girl notified her mother after the attack, who then called the police. Officers found Jones a short time later.

The paper said Jones has two other pending rape cases against him and that he is now being held in the Johnson County Jail on $100,000 bond.
