The city of Dallas Thursday released a documentary focused on the July 7 ambush in downtown Dallas.
"#DallasStrong" includes first-hand accounts from the police officers and paramedics who responded to the shooting.
Several family members of the five officers who were killed in the ambush are also featured in the film.
In a press release about the film, the city said:
"This video provided an outlet for several of the officers involved in the incident and the family members of the fallen to speak out and tell their stories. We know that we were only able to scratch the surface with these interviews since the case still has not gone to the grand jury, but the hope is that the video will provide some healing and closure to those who watch."
The film was shown to the family members of the fallen after the memorial service on July 7, 2017 and is just now being released to the public.
