The National Weather Service says the weekend cold front that brought dust storms, wind gusts and freeze advisories will linger for another day before temperatures moderate.
In North Texas, a freeze warning is in effect unti 9 a.m. Tuesday. Milder weather is set to arrive by Wednesday and Easter weekend looks warm with scattered rain chances, NBC 5 Meteorologist Grant Johnston said Monday morning. See Johnston's full forecast here.

Weather service meteorologist Charles Aldrich in Lubbock said highs Monday will range from the mid-40s in the Panhandle to the 50s in many parts of West Texas, North Texas and beyond. Lows Monday morning range from the teens in the Lubbock region to the low 30s in North Texas, and from the low 40s in the Houston area to near 60 in South Texas.
Freeze warnings have been issued for many counties in North and East Texas until Tuesday morning.
Aldrich said as the cold front continues to move eastward, temperatures will warm slightly Tuesday and then tick upward as the week progresses.
