Child Struck, Injured By Train in Grand Prairie: Police

A child has been rushed to the hospital after being struck by a train Thursday afternoon in Grand Prairie, police say.

A group of children was attempting to cross the railroad tracks in front of a train when one of them was struck near the intersection of Main Street and Northwest 23rd Street.

Police said the injured child was transported by air ambulance to Children's Medical Center in critical condition.

None of the other children were hurt.

Main Street is closed while police investigate, and no other information has been released.
