Child Predator Arrested Monday: Dallas Police

Dallas police say a man they arrested Monday may be connected to another offense that happened on Saturday involving indecency with a child.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Park Lane and Dale Crest Drive on Monday for a major disturbance. Dallas police said officers found that a child reported "a man tried to take me" and that witnesses had chased the man from the area.

Officers set up a perimeter and searched for the man, police said. Dallas police said officers found and arrested the man.

Police said the man, whose identity has not been released, is a suspect in an indecency with a child offense on March 15 in the 2200 block of S. Buckner Boulevard.

He's being held on warrants out of Arlington and is charged with aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child.

Police are not releasing the man's photo because investigators still need to interview the children before a formal case can be filed.
