North Texas actor Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy, was given a clean bill of health Tuesday.
Mayhew emailed a picture to NBC 5 after seeing a story we ran on our 10 p.m. newscast Tuesday.

Doctors treated Mayhew for pneumonia and the flu in January.
NBC 5 Meteorologist Grant Johnston was happy to learn that Mayhew was feeling better.
