Ceramic Mugs Sold at Target Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

Manufacturer Illume recalled thousands of "Love Today" ceramic mugs sold exclusively at Target stores due to fire hazard.

The company recalled about 12,300 of the 14-ounce white mugs with "Love Today" printed in gold on the outside. The mugs were mislabeled as microwave safe, as the metallic print on the mug can spark and pose a fire hazard if microwaved, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Target received three reports of mugs sparking during microwaving, but no injuries have been reported.

The mugs were sold for about $8 at Target stores nationwide and on their website between last December and January.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mugs and return them to Target or contact Illume for a full refund.
