A setback in the planned repairs for crippled cruise ship Carnival Triumph is forcing the cancellation of 10 additional cruises.
Carnival Cruise Lines announced Tuesday that the ship is not expected to return to sea until June 3.
The company initially said that repairs after the mid-February fire that stranded the Triumph in the Gulf of Mexico would keep it out of service until April 17.
It was bad news for an Aledo couple whose late-March cruise had been moved to the last week of April.
Jean Petty and her husband learned on Tuesday that they would have reschedule again.
"The best-case scenario for me, for my husband and I, would be if we could just go on a vacation," Jean Petty said. "That's really our goal. We don't care what ship we're on. We enjoy Carnival. We just really want to go on vacation."
Petty, who is a retired schoolteacher, said her husband would have difficulty scheduling yet another vacation week off from work.

The Triumph is one of three Carnival ships that recently have had issues.
The Carnival Legend encountered propulsion problems while at sea, forcing the cancellation of a scheduled stop at Grand Cayman, according to the cruise line. And the Carnival Dream became stuck in port at St. Maarten when a generator encountered problems.
Local travel agents who have spent a lot of time trying to get refunds for their clients said the problems are causing concern.
"That's not to say it couldn't happen to any cruise line; it's just, unfortunately, Carnival's gotten stuck with three bad cruises here, one right after the other," said Pam Kempen, of Fort Worth-based TravelCorp. "And now they're just going to have to build people's faith back up and give them some incentive to do it."
In a press release Tuesday, Carnival announced that it would provide full refunds for affected customers. The company also said it would reimburse people for their travel costs and would offer a 25 percent discount on certain future cruises.
