Carlo's Bakery in Dallas Celebrates Grand Opening

Hundreds of people showed up for the grand opening of Carlo's Bakery in Dallas

The day has finally arrived for cannoli lovers. After months of waiting Carlo’s Bakery finally opened its doors in Dallas Saturday morning.

The Cake Boss himself, Buddy Valastro, was there to kick off the opening of his new Dallas bakery, along with his entire family.

Valastro is the star of the TLC show “Cake Boss.”

Hundreds of people showed up in Preston Center for the grand opening of the Cake Boss’s 13th U.S. location.  People came from other states, stood in line for hours and some even camped out Friday night, just to get a taste.

“I’ve been dying for the cannolis every time I see them on TV so that’s what I’m getting today,” said Marcella, a big fan of Valastro’s.

The store had a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning at 8:30 a.m. to celebrate the opening.

Lines were so long at the Texas-sized grand opening that Valastro’s sister Grace Faugno reminded fans that Dallas is their new home.

“Even though today is a crazy day, this is our new home. We’re gonna be here for a while so if you don’t get to come today, don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of other days,” said Faugno.

The new store is located near University Park at 8319 Preston Road in Dallas.
