Driver Loses Control, Hits Fence, Pole, 5 Parked Cars: Police

The driver of a pickup speeding down a residential street lost control of his truck and smashed into several parked cars late Wednesday, sending one of the cars crashing into a home, police say.

Dallas police said Thursday that a possible road rage incident between the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a Cadillac led to the crash.

The driver of the Cadillac sped down Holcomb Road and turned onto the 8400 block of Tenino Street at about 9 p.m.  The driver of the pickup followed, but soon lost conrol of his vehicle and hit an electrical pole, a fence and five parked cars before coming to a stop, police said.

The crash pushed one of the parked vehicles into a home on the 1100 block of Holcomb. No one inside the home was injured and all were able to exit through a back door.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 25-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital. There were three other males inside the vehicle, including two children ages 14 and 4 and a 26 year old man. The children were both treated at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue for undisclosed injuries.

No further information has been released.
