Police are searching for the driver who crashed a vehicle into a utility pole, knocking out power to a North Dallas neighborhood Friday morning.
The impact of the crash knocked the utility pole off its base, causing a power failure for the surrounding block at about 2 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle ran away before officers arrived. A Dallas police helicopter and a K9 were brought in to help search for the suspect, police said.
