With Election Day inching closer, there is no rest for the weary as volunteers powered through the weekend and the weariness at phone banks across North Texas.
At the Dallas County Republican Party headquarters off North Central Expressway, Brian Flores sat with five phones in front of him, his drumming background coming in handy.
Flores has been volunteering his time for the GOP for most of the year so this Sunday was no exception.
"I just feel like it's a good investment," he said. "I have a two-and-a-half year-old son so I think about his future as well."
Dallas GOP chairman Phillip Huffines said they averaged between 20,000 and 30,000 phone calls the last several weeks. But with just a week left for early voting, volunteers are making about 50,000 calls a week to encourage Republicans to hit the polls.
"We just know there's an end. It's Nov. 8 and we get to sleep in a little on Nov. 9," Huffines said, laughing.
Dozens of volunteers crowded in at Hillary Clinton's Dallas headquarters off Walnut Hill Lane Sunday for their final push on the phones as well.

"We are not a battleground state, we have not had a lot of financial support from the campaign nationally, but the spirit is here and the volunteers are here," said Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.
Volunteers like Heidi Williams, who has been working phones for Hillary Clinton since the primary.
"I actually call from home as well," Williams said. "We're dedicated."
Both parties are still looking for more volunteers as Election Day nears.
