Heat caused lanes of southbound U.S. 75 to buckle Thursday afternoon in Grayson County, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. [[387878712,R]]
The southbound lanes were closed near exit 72 toward Texas 91 in Denison as TxDOT crews worked to replace the affected pavement.
Traffic was been rerouted onto the southbound service road to avoid the closure.
Denison police said they reopened the road Friday morning after repairs were completed.
