No injuries have been reported in a brush fire that has burned several acres Tuesday afternoon in Kaufman County, authorities say.
The fire was reported near Texas Highway 243 and Sundown Drive, east of downtown Kaufman, and Kaufman County fire officials said at least four homes have been saved from burning.
The fire covered about 15 acres at its largest point and was about 90 percent contained by 5:30 p.m., officials said.
An abandoned mobile home was destroyed.
