Baylor's Art Briles Borderline ‘Giddy' on National Signing Day

Baylor coach Art Briles described himself Wednesday as "borderline giddy."

That is surely understandable after back-to-back Big 12 titles and now another solid recruiting class for the Bears, including the likely quarterback of the future.

Among the 20 signees is Jarrett Stidham, a dual-threat quarterback is from Stephenville, the Texas high school where Briles won four state championships as coach in the 1990s.

Stidham is one of the four signees already enrolled at Baylor and will be able to take part in spring practice.

For the second year in a row, Baylor's class was pretty much in place long before signing day.  Baylor coaches spent last weekend recruiting 2016 seniors and looking at sophomores who could be part of the 2017 class.
