Good Afternoon, My name is Daisy Close. I am a performer in the DFW area and would like to share my story with NBCDFW. I have been performing, singing, and songwriting for over 10 years now and over the years I have learned the many essential skills it takes to be a performer. I currently work at Six Flags Over Texas and would like to share my journey towards becoming a professional performer as well as the struggles I have had to overcome to get where I am today. I have noticed many artists struggling to find hope through these hard times and I hope my story can inspire many artists to continue to keep pushing and working hard towards achieving their dreams. I am very passionate about my job and would like to advocate for the next generation of performers in Texas. Daisy Close

Fort Worth kid does great. Our son Jacob is a freshman at IM Terrell High School. He’s in the STEM Program and is distance learning. He was recently chosen for the Summer STEM Program at The Philips Academy in Andover, MA. He is one of only two students from Texas chosen for the program. If you’re unfamiliar with The Philips Academy, it’s considered the most prestigious high school in America and a feeder school for Yale. Only 3% of 30k applicants are chosen to attend the school. Multiple POTUS have attended the school including George H Bush and George W Bush.
