A Flower Mound eighth-grader born with a brain malfunction that paralyzed his tongue has achieved his dream of scoring a touchdown.
Eiler Buck, a Downing Middle School student who communicates with sign language, scored during a game against big rival Shadow Ridge. He was born with clubbed feet and has undergone multiple surgeries and a lot of therapy.
But none of that mattered at Tuesday night's game.
Both teams came together to help Eiler take part in a play and score.
"It moved me like nothing I've ever seen," said his father, Alex Buck.
The stands were filled with students and families with signs cheering on Eiler.
"To see them embrace him and enjoy the moment as much as him was totally awesome," said his mother, Mary Beth Buck, who said the moment was magical.

"I love them all in this world," Eiler said in sign language.
His father filmed the touchdown, and the video was uploaded to YouTube so Eiler's older sister, who is away at college, could see it. It was viewed more than 700 times within one day of being posted.
The Bucks approached Coach Drew Libby about Eiler's dream not long ago.
"It was time to flip the script and let the players be the fans, and let Eiler be the player and give him his big moment," Libby said.
"To see that much goodness all in one place is just overwhelming and for it to be my son, to be object of that, I can't describe it," Alex Buck said.
