A 14-year-old student at a South Texas alternative high school has died after collapsing while running laps.
A statement from the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo school district says the boy collapsed while running laps at Buell Central High School in Pharr shortly before 10 a.m. Monday.
The district statement says no cause of death has been determined. His identity hasn't been released.
According to the school district website, students are placed at Buell Central after disciplinary hearings.
