Construction is underway on prototypes for a proposed border wall with Mexico.
Six companies are busy putting up their vision of what a wall would look like along the border just south of San Diego.
Construction began last month.
A total of eight wall prototypes will be built, four with concrete and four using alternate materials.
The prototypes will be between 18 and 30 feet high and designed to deter illegal crossings.
They're being built on land just a few yards away from a pre-existing border fence.
President Donald Trump has made the border wall one of his top priorities.
