A Central Texas police officer will not face charges over the fatal shooting of an armed man during a disturbance call at an apartment complex.
Boerne police on Thursday announced a grand jury declined to indict anyone in the Aug. 14 fatal shooting of Hector Rene Soriano Gonzalez.
Officer Keith Taylor responded to 911 disturbance calls about a man with a gun.
Police have said the suspect declined orders to drop the weapon and was shot when he turned toward the officer.
Boerne police Chief Jim Kohler says a Kendall County grand jury last week ruled the shooting by Taylor was justified.
Boerne is 25 miles northwest of San Antonio.
