State game wardens say crews recovered the body of a 72-year-old fisherman from the waters of a Central Texas lake Friday.
Crews have been searching the waters of Richland-Chambers Lake since Monday for 72-year-old Jerry King of Athens and his 17-year-old grandson, Jerrod Rachel of Malakoff. The search for Rachel continues.
On Tuesday, Capt. Gary Dugan of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says lifejackets were found on board the boat, still wrapped in plastic. He speculates that one person may have fallen into the water and the other may have jumped in after him.
Dugan said the water temperature was around 55 to 60 degrees.
