A gas leak in North Richland Hills has forced an elementary school to evacuate the campus.
A construction crew working nearby ruptured a gas line not far from Mullendore Elementary on Flory Street.
The Birdville Independent School District said the smell of gas moving toward the school prompted the evacuation. All of the students and staff are safe, the district said.
A crew from Atmos Energy is at the scene working to fix the ruptured line.
There have been no other evacuations reported.
