Billionaire Alice Walton plans to sell all of the cutting horses from her North Texas ranch as she gets out of the breeding business.
Western Bloodstock Ltd. will conduct the sale at Walton's Rocking W Ranch near Millsap, 40 miles west of Fort Worth.
Equipment will be offered Sept. 21, with cutting horses for sale Sept. 22. Officials didn't immediately say how many horses are for sale.
The 65-year-old Walton, on the Western Bloodstock website Thursday, said she's realigning her priorities and wants to focus on philanthropic interests.
Walton, who's bred cutting horses since she was a teenager, is the daughter of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton. She was 11th on this year's Forbes list of the 500 richest people in the world, with a net worth topping $39 billion.
