Big-Rig Driver Injured in Apparent Road Rage Shooting

The driver of a tractor-trailer says he was injured in what appears to be a "road rage" shooting as he drove westbound on Interstate 30 in Rowlett early Wednesday morning.

The driver, a 57-year-old man from San Antonio, told police he was making a lane change ahead of an crash when he heard a pop followed by a jarring in his neck. He said he then noticed he was bleeding from the area.

When he arrived at the scene of the crash the driver flagged down officers for help and reported the apparent shooting -- though he was unable to provide officers with any description about who may have shot at him.

Police said it's early in the investigation, but it appears as though the driver was injured by flying glass. He was transported to Plano Medical Center where he received treatment for an injury that is not considered life threatening.
