Two words of advice if you plan on attending the grand opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Dallas on Wednesday: plan ahead.
Tickets are still available for Wednesday's grand opening but library staff tells NBC 5 that they expect heavy crowds and the best way to make sure you get inside the museum is to get your tickets online ahead of time.
Tickets for most age groups are priced between $10 and $16 but there are discounts available for students, veterans and seniors at online.
The library will also be making 50 tickets per hour available onsite, but it's best to get your tickets online instead of taking your chances in person.
Seven-dollar parking will be available in the main parking lot across from the main entrance at the intersection of SMU Boulevard and Bush Avenue, but library staff strongly recommends that visitors take mass transit because there are a limited number of parking spaces.
No outside food or drinks are allowed and For security purposes, guests are asked not to bring any bag larger than a backpack. All purses, backpacks and other such bags will be subject to search and security scanning machines. All guests must pass through a metal detector.
The Museum’s on-campus restaurant, Cafe 43, opens on Friday but the Barnes and Noble Museum Store will open with the rest of the museum on Wednesday.
