The Barbara Bush Foundation is celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Celebration of Reading in Dallas/Fort Worth.
The Monday event features guest appearances by members of the Bush family and New York Times best-selling authors at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas.
Allie Beth and Pierce Allman are co-chairing the event, which has activities throughout the day beginning with a luncheon and ending with a book signing with authors CJ. Box, Debbie Macomber, Robert Edsel and Sharon Robinson.
Funds raised from the annual Celebration of Reading help support family literacy programs of the Barbara Bush Foundation, including Teen Trendsetters™, an anchor program of the organization that pairs teen mentors with first, second or third grade students who are six months or more behind in reading.
The foundation currently offers 23 family literacy programs serving more than 800 students and families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
